About the role

The Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist 1 manages the day-to-day servicing lifecycle for all performing real estate loans, including mortgages, personal credit lines, and installment loans secured by real estate. This position operates in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment and is responsible for daily maintenance on real estate loans—from initial boarding in the MSP servicing system through disposition via the lien release process. Additionally, this role handles monthly reconciliation and remittance of funds.

Responsibilities

• Analyze collateral documentation and loan information in the bank's servicing system (Hogan) and update collateral records in the loan servicing system as needed.
• Communicate with customers via phone and email.
• Follow up with business partners regarding missing or insufficient documents.
• Research and verify lien position on UCCs and titles for loans secured by RVs, vehicles, and boats; analyze loan status to determine appropriate resolution.
• Prepare customer communication.
• Manage workflow to ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded.
• Process work, including mail sorting, check processing, data entry, document retrieval and review, and account research.
• Respond to internal and external customer requests through written and verbal communication.
• Assist in developing and maintaining department procedures.
• Adhere to written policies and procedures; comply with regular audits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years’ experience in a customer service-related position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access; ability to create and edit basic documents.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to SLAs and quality requirements.
• Detail-oriented and thorough.

Schedule

This is a full-time, non-exempt position (eligible for overtime pay).

Workplace Type

Office. Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement, combining in-office and remote work. Remote roles will have opportunities to gather in offices for key moments. Specific arrangements will be provided by the hiring team.
