About the role
The Hawarden Purchasing Associate is responsible for managing the purchasing process for the company, ensuring that all materials and supplies are sourced efficiently and cost-effectively.
Responsibilities
- Manage the purchasing process for the company, including ordering, receiving, and tracking inventory.
- Research and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality and competitive pricing.
- Prepare purchase orders and manage vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for stock replenishment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations regarding purchasing and procurement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Knowledge of industry-specific purchasing standards and best practices.
- Understanding of budgeting and cost control principles.
