Schedule
Seven days on, seven days off: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor hatchery equipment to ensure optimal production performance.
- Maintain consistent product flow in an organized and efficient manner.
- Perform and document verification checks, including vaccine dosage accuracy and proper coverage.
- Verify chick counts and box counts to ensure accuracy and compliance with production standards.
- Coordinate and ensure proper chick placement at designated farm locations.
- Load and unload boxes onto conveyors and transport carts within the chick processing area.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment in accordance with company standards.
- Accurately complete and maintain all required paperwork and production records.
- Utilize basic math skills to complete calculations and documentation.
- Safely operate hand tools, machinery, and equipment, including a Moffett (truck-mounted forklift).
- Read, interpret, and follow written instructions, including vaccine protocols and operating procedures.
- Identify and report equipment or process issues to leadership.
- Perform all job duties while maintaining a safe work environment.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in environments that may be cold, damp, or hot and humid.
- Walking surfaces may be wet or slippery.
- Frequent physical activity is required, including standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
- Must be able to lift varying weights depending on the assigned area.
Requirements
- Ability to operate equipment and perform semi-skilled production tasks with minimal supervision.
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills required.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and document processes accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- All applicants must provide their government identification number for Tyson employment history verification.
- This facility will not accept applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods three or more times.
