Pay: $17.75 per hour plus $2.00 shift differential

Schedule

Seven days on, seven days off: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor hatchery equipment to ensure optimal production performance.
  • Maintain consistent product flow in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Perform and document verification checks, including vaccine dosage accuracy and proper coverage.
  • Verify chick counts and box counts to ensure accuracy and compliance with production standards.
  • Coordinate and ensure proper chick placement at designated farm locations.
  • Load and unload boxes onto conveyors and transport carts within the chick processing area.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment in accordance with company standards.
  • Accurately complete and maintain all required paperwork and production records.
  • Utilize basic math skills to complete calculations and documentation.
  • Safely operate hand tools, machinery, and equipment, including a Moffett (truck-mounted forklift).
  • Read, interpret, and follow written instructions, including vaccine protocols and operating procedures.
  • Identify and report equipment or process issues to leadership.
  • Perform all job duties while maintaining a safe work environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in environments that may be cold, damp, or hot and humid.
  • Walking surfaces may be wet or slippery.
  • Frequent physical activity is required, including standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
  • Must be able to lift varying weights depending on the assigned area.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate equipment and perform semi-skilled production tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills required.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and document processes accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
  • All applicants must provide their government identification number for Tyson employment history verification.
  • This facility will not accept applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods three or more times.
  • Rehires are accepted after 365 days; Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or deny rehires based on dismissal reason.
