Responsibilities
- Performs maintenance on incubation equipment, buildings, and grounds at the Hatchery in the office areas.
- Performs preventative maintenance on all systems at the facility including incubation, heating/air conditioning, alarms, etc.
- Checks daily for proper operation of systems, machines and equipment.
- Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work effectively and cooperatively with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.
- Observes & enforces all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies.
- Recognizes and acts on incidents and safety risks.
- Consistently practices, and enforces safe work habits and drives those habits throughout the organization.
- All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Considerable knowledge of maintenance and repair of hatchery equipment, heating and air conditioning units, and buildings.
- Boiler’s License preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Considerable ability to analyze and resolve complicated maintenance problems.
- Working skill in supervising, instructing and coordinating the maintenance function.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Able to work with limited supervision and provide feedback to leadership.
- Considerable ability to operate power tools and machinery.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to work at elevated heights.
- Valid Class D License.
- Able to pass Fit test.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a similar position preferred.
Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

About the Role
The Maintenance Mechanic lll is responsible for all maintenance to buildings and equipment at the Hatchery facility. Safety is a condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always.
