About the role

Six‑month contract‑to‑hire position installing data center cabling and equipment (fiber optics, racks, cable trays) and preparing equipment for installation in new‑build data centers at the Google Data Center construction site in Haskell, TX.

Responsibilities

• Install data center cabling and equipment – fiber optics, racks, cable trays
• Prepare equipment for installation into new‑build data centers
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Work in construction environments (indoor/outdoor, heat/cold)
• Collaborate on large teams and follow instructions
• Apply training knowledge and use initiative to find work on a large site

Skills & Qualifications

• Military communications or military background
• Experience with communication systems, Cat6, fiber optic cabling, structured cabling, telecommunication
• Fiber splicing and installation
• Low‑voltage wiring and data center experience
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Self‑starter, able to work independently and stay engaged on a large site

Pay

$22.00 per hour
