Haryanvi Interpreter

About the role

LanguageLine Solutions is a company dedicated to breaking down language and cultural barriers. We employ interpreters to help limited-English speakers, the Deaf, and the Hard-of-Hearing communicate effectively. This role allows you to work remotely from your home.

Responsibilities

• Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render accurate translations between Haryanvi and English speakers.
• Adapt to various industries, including healthcare, insurance, finance, and law.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and handle sensitive situations calmly.
• Follow client instructions and adhere to protocol.
• Ensure cultural sensitivity and diversity in interactions.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Haryanvi and English.
• Cultural competency and ability to understand regional accents.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Education or experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Ability to adapt to LLS technology enhancements.
• At least 18 years old.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write the requested languages preferred.

Benefits

This is an independent contractor position and not eligible for employee benefits.

Pay

$1.25 - $1.40 per minute

Schedule

Work at Home position in the United States.

Skills

Fluency in Haryanvi and English, cultural competency, excellent listening and note-taking skills, ability to adapt to LLS technology enhancements, and commitment to cultural sensitivity.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to operate a keyboard and mouse.
• Must remain in a stationary position in front of a computer the majority of the workday.
• Must have sufficient manual dexterity to type or write.
• Must be able to lift up to 26 lbs.
• May be exposed to moderate noise levels.
