About the role

The Harvest Technician works directly with the Post Harvest Assistant Manager and is responsible for physically harvesting plants, logging all METRC tags, preparing plants allocated to the lab, accurately allocating green waste, cleaning and sanitizing the mechanical trimmers, and end of day cleaning of the flower room being harvested.

Responsibilities

  • Physically harvesting all plants, taking care not to compromise product in the process
  • Harvesting and preparing plants for lab allocations, including bucking product and bagging it for the freezer
  • Assisting in the operation, cleaning, and sanitization of mechanical trimmers
  • Ensuring that work areas are clean, safe, and compliant, at all times
  • Removing and allocating green waste at the end of each day
  • Create and maintain accurate harvest logs of all METRC tags, corresponding wet plant weights and green waste
  • Hand trim or QC seeds as needed
  • Perform other related duties as directed by the Post-Harvest Manager or Harvest Lead

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must adhere to the Ma. CCC hiring guidelines
  • Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance)
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk as needed
  • Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, crouch in order to access equipment
  • Moderate to loud exposure to noise level
  • Proficient in Windows 10 operating system, Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule with some weekend work
  • Ability to resolve bottlenecks and production issues
  • Ability to communicate ideas and resolutions in a clear, concise, friendly manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and manage time both independently as well as within a team environment
  • Continuous Process Improvement mindset
