Description
The Harvest Floor Technician is responsible for the slaughter process of pork as well as the splitting of hogs as experience is gained.
Job Duties
- Work in the slaughter operation of pork.
- Trimming and washing of carcasses.
- Work around and with livestock.
- Work with others in a fast-paced team environment.
- Learn and follow regulations set by the USDA.
- Learn to use and sharpen a knife in an efficient manner.
- Be aware of and follow strict safety guidelines.
- Willing to work overtime and on Saturdays if needed.
Work Schedule
6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Requirements
- Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Heavy lifting (Capable of at least 50-100 lbs), Long periods of walking and standing.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Pay: $17 per hour.
- Potential $1.50/hour wage increase after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period, based on performance, attendance, and adherence to company standards.
