Harvest Floor Food Safety Site Supervisor

About the Role

The Harvest Floor Food Safety Site Supervisor will ensure effective management to plan, develop, and maintain all related systems. In this role, you will oversee a team to ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage the pre-sorter team and work with the USDA team to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Ensure day-to-day accountability for compliance with all food safety and quality regulations, policies, standards, and practices.
• Ensure factory standards are adhered to and support the reporting and completion of actions in the event of any deviations.
• Responsible for internal audit systems.
• Accountable for food safety-related site improvements.
• Lead customer audits and visits, including corrective action closeouts.
• Engage and encourage a small site-based team of food safety professionals.
• Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions for direct reports.
• Spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Customer-focused and achievement-focused.
• Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize individual and team workload.
• Pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Computer skills and knowledge of common software packages.
• Proven work experience, including team supervision in the food industry.
• Familiarity with global food safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• One year of supervisory experience.
• USDA inspection experience.

Position Information

Relocation will not be provided for this position. The work schedule is Monday – Friday: 5 am – 3 pm, with Saturday work if required. The position is based in Wyalusing, PA.
