Epitec is supporting a private American space-technology company in hiring a Harnessing / Electrical Technician III to perform electrical assembly, harness fabrication, cable routing, connector termination, troubleshooting, and electrical integration for spacecraft and ground-support systems. This role supports critical hardware development and production programs within a fast-paced aerospace environment.
Location: North Hollywood, CA
Employment Type: W2 Contract (long-term)
Work Environment: Fully onsite
Schedule
A Shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST). Must be available to support B Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM PST) approximately 1–2 times per month.
Responsibilities
- Support electrical assembly, harness fabrication, installation, routing, and integration activities
- Prepare cables and harnesses according to specifications
- Perform connector termination with precision and quality
- Route and secure harnesses within complex systems
- Install electrical hardware components
- Troubleshoot electrical issues during assembly and integration processes
- Conduct continuity checks and basic electrical testing
- Read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions
- Support prototype, test, and production hardware
- Maintain quality and workmanship standards throughout integration activities
Requirements
- Required experience with electrical harness fabrication, installation, and routing
- Proficiency in wire preparation, crimping, connector termination, and cable management
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions
- Experience with electrical/electronic hardware integration
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical installation, routing, and fit-up issues
- Familiarity with standard electrical assembly tools and test equipment
- Experience supporting prototype, test, or production hardware
- Basic electrical testing and troubleshooting capabilities
- Previous experience in assembly and integration environments
- Availability to work B Shift (2:00 PM – 10:00 PM PST) 1–2 times per month
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with vacuum chamber systems
- Experience working with furnace reactor systems
- Aerospace, defense, satellite, or space-vehicle hardware experience
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification
