Hardware Test Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Systems Engineering to establish product performance requirements.
• Review designs with engineers, making recommendations to enhance designs for performance improvements.
• Collaborate with Advanced Test & Automation Engineering to develop unique reliability/verification test apparatus as required.
• Assure proper metrology, data collection and analysis practices are applied for all verification projects and activities.
• Provide resource and schedule estimates for verification activities
• Manage large-scale test execution in-house, or at suppliers, to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
• Own standardized test procedures (compliance to standards), continuously improving efficiency & cost-effectiveness.
• Implement best in class verification practices to assure the safety and efficacy of infusion and dispensing devices over their product lifecycle

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a related role in the medical device industry
• BS or MS in technical field; ME, EE, Reliability, Physics
• Expertise in Engineering Statistics
• Experience in reliability testing
• Expertise in failure investigation
• Experience in Design Verification in an FDA 820.30 environment
