About the role
The Test Engineer will support the Integrated Threat Warning Laboratory at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. They will be involved in the full lifecycle of testing activities for a custom, highly-automated hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) architecture.
Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate test equipment needed for each day of testing
- Execute daily tests and troubleshoot any problems that arise
- Document the test progress and keep logs of completed tests
- Develop, write, and execute comprehensive test plans
- Lead the integration of new instrumentation and capabilities into the testbed
- Collaborate with vendors to develop Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
- Manage and organize large amounts of test data
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience, with at least 1 year of experience in testing & integration
- Experience programming in C and C++
- Proficiency with Matlab®
- Understanding of Ethernet TCP/IP and sockets (client/server protocol)
- Strong communication skills to engage with multidiscipline teams
- Excellent debugging skills
Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain a clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with systems engineering principles and V&V processes
- Experience with test plan development and technical writing
- Experience with optical systems and radiometrics
- Working knowledge of embedded systems
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
