HARDWARE SALES Position: Hardware Sales Date Prepared: 09/14/2026 Location: Various Field Locations Reports to: Store Manager Classification: Non-Exempt Hourly Job Summary: The Hardware Sales employee will receive orders, generally in person, for products and services. Additionally, the position is required to describe available options, compute costs, accept payment and provide excellent customer service. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Primary Duties/ Responsibilities: Greet customers with respect and courtesyProfessionalism with other team members and ManagersAssisting other team members with projects or struggles they are facing. Keeping up to date with the product inventory and its functionalityEnsuring proper inventory levels are kept correctAsk questions and provide relevant informationWalking each customer to the area they are seekingAdvise customers on use and care of merchandiseAnswer telephones to provide information and receive orders or direct the customer to the correct departmentRecommend and provide advice on products and servicesMaintain proficiency in all organizational safe working policies and practicesPerform other related duties as assigned, but not limited to:Forklift operationMoulding calls to include cuts and loadingCashiering as needed. Sharing knowledge and processes that have been learned with other team membersPerform cycle counting / product mapping of the entire store every 60 daysClear product carts either with the device or computer hardware app. Keep all areas of the location clean and dustedPut returns away as they arrive. Asking every customer where they are purchasing other items and why not from GanahlEnsuring your Area of Responsibility is ready every day to includeAll paint machines purged, nozzles cleaned, all other machines kept in working order, or work orders placed for repairRadio etiquette to inform the team if you can assist or unable. Adheres to company policies and work requirements Required Skills/Abilities: The ability to read, write, understand, and relay, written and verbal instructionsAbility to operate available equipment, such as cash registers, calculators, or scannersBasic mathematical skills, as needed to make change and give refundsKnowledgeable about company’s products and services, and customer-related policies Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalentSuccessful completion of on-the-job trainingSix months of related experience preferred Physical Requirements: This position requires prolonged periods of standing and working at the cash register or related equipmentMust be in adequate physical condition to perform requirements such as mental, physical and manual dexterity, hand/grip strength, depth perception and any other physical attributes that enable the employee to perform the job safely according to all Company, Local, State, and Federal regulations and requirementsAbility to lift/carry up to 70 pounds regularlyAbility to push/pull up to 70 pounds regularlyMust wear prescribed personal protective equipment when handling material or operating equipment Other Requirements: Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment and required drug screens as requestedMust be able to successfully pass a Physical Capacity Assessments as requested.
