Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Hardware Interface Development
- Develop software interfaces that communicate directly with hardware devices.
- Work with SDKs, APIs, and hardware communication protocols.
- Support integration between software applications and hardware components.
- Example Use Cases
- Camera Integration
- Develop software that communicates with camera hardware.
- Utilize vendor SDK tools.
- Manage image capture functionality.
- Control exposure settings and device interfaces.
- Display/Driver Integration
- Interface with display hardware and pattern generators (PGs).
- Send images to display controllers.
- Control color settings and current levels for individual pixels.
- Support software-to-hardware communication for display panel operation.
- Testing
- Contribute to testing activities and integration validation.
- Role is not expected to own all test code development.
Experience Requirements
- Years of experience are flexible if the candidate has strong hands-on expertise.
- Greater emphasis on specific project experience than overall tenure.
- Candidate examples should highlight:
- Hardware/software integration projects.
- Device communication interfaces.
- SDK development or usage.
- Camera, display, driver, or similar hardware-related work.
Pay, Benefits, and Company Information
$170,000-$195,000 (dependent on experience)
