Hardware Integration Engineer

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Hardware Interface Development
• Develop software interfaces that communicate directly with hardware devices.
• Work with SDKs, APIs, and hardware communication protocols.
• Support integration between software applications and hardware components.
• Example Use Cases
• Camera Integration
• Develop software that communicates with camera hardware.
• Utilize vendor SDK tools.
• Manage image capture functionality.
• Control exposure settings and device interfaces.
• Display/Driver Integration
• Interface with display hardware and pattern generators (PGs).
• Send images to display controllers.
• Control color settings and current levels for individual pixels.
• Support software-to-hardware communication for display panel operation.
• Testing
• Contribute to testing activities and integration validation.
• Role is not expected to own all test code development.

Experience Requirements

• Years of experience are flexible if the candidate has strong hands-on expertise.
• Greater emphasis on specific project experience than overall tenure.
• Candidate examples should highlight:
• Hardware/software integration projects.
• Device communication interfaces.
• SDK development or usage.
• Camera, display, driver, or similar hardware-related work.

Pay, Benefits, and Company Information

$170,000-$195,000 (dependent on experience)
