Engineering$111k–$178k/yrFull-time
About the role
- Designs, develops, and validates high-current, high-power sourcing and switching hardware for semiconductor automated test equipment (ATE).
- Focuses on design verification, power delivery, transient response, regulation, protection, thermal management, and system integration for advanced SoCs, FPGAs, and other high-power devices.
- Owns power-delivery modules from concept through production release, collaborating with hardware, firmware, mechanical, and test engineering teams.
- Leads bring-up, design verification, and lab characterization of power-delivery modules, including load regulation, transient response, efficiency, thermal behavior, and fault handling.
- Develops and executes verification plans; uses power analyzers, high-bandwidth oscilloscopes, current probes, and electronic loads to test design assumptions and performance.
- Designs protection and fault-response systems, and conducts reliability analysis, derating studies, thermal modeling, stress testing, and failure investigations.
- Collaborates with hardware designers to debug analog, digital, and mixed-signal issues and with firmware teams on control, telemetry, calibration, and fault reporting.
- Ensures modules meet ATE requirements for timing, triggering, synchronization, and software control; develops test programs and supports integration with loadboards, probecards, and device-under-test power networks.
- Partners with product, test, and silicon engineering teams to define device requirements, mentors colleagues, and contributes to design standards and best practices.
