Hardware Engineer IV

Key Responsibilities

• Review and provide feedback on customers’ design and technical requirements
• Collaborate with Sales and Field Engineering on server, rack, and networking integration at the BOM level
• Lead first article builds and manage production documentation (BOM validation, hardware optimization, engineering instructions)
• Provide technical input to designers, engineering, and other team members to help drive compelling new ideas forward
• Work closely with Engineering, Technical Program Management, Supply Chain and Purchasing to ensure a smooth transition from NPI to mass production products
• Coordinate ECN/ECO processes in internal and external PLM systems
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience
• 8-10+ years of working experience as a Hardware Engineer with deep understanding of rack architecture, network gear (switches, optics, cables), and power/cooling technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
• Excellent communication and documentation skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
• Experience with Wiki/Project tracking software (Confluence, JIRA) and PLM systems (Agile or similar)
• Experience working in the manufacturing environment or partnered with ODM/OEM to develop and launch new products
• Willingness to travel (5%+ domestic/international)
