Hardware Development Manager, AWS Hardware Engineering, AWS Hardware Components
About the role
AWS Hardware Engineering is looking for a leader to drive a team to deliver best in class hardware designs from inception, through manufacturing, implementation and maturation, and eventually deprecation. You will be responsible for ensuring all core hardware components are meeting or exceeding the high quality bar, ensuring a healthy fleet of EC2 servers. You will organize and lead a team of skilled hardware development engineers to partner with our mechanical and thermal suppliers, ODMs, and internal customers to ensure we deliver towards our roadmap. In this role, you will define implementation strategies and report status frequently to senior leadership. Your work will directly enable AWS to launch our next generation server designs.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all core hardware components are meeting or exceeding the high quality bar, ensuring a healthy fleet of EC2 servers.
- Organize and lead a team of skilled hardware development engineers to partner with our mechanical and thermal suppliers, ODMs, and internal customers to ensure we deliver towards our roadmap.
- Define implementation strategies and report status frequently to senior leadership.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- 7 years in thermal/mechanical development of servers or similar products
- 3 years people management experience

Pay
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
