Hardline Medical Devices Business Development Manager
About the role
The Medical Devices Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to provide Medical Devices TIC solutions that align with client needs, industry trends, and sustainability goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead / coordinate Medical Devices task forces teams for all Medical Devices related TIC services, assist all Medical Devices divisions to healthy and sustainable growth.
- Ensure Hardlines Medical Devices businesses meets financial objective : targeting double-digit growth annually based on 2025 global hardlines medical figures.
- Define strategy and develop plan for Medical Device including both greenfield growth initiatives and acquisition.
- Support Medical Devices related divisions’ growth / development including Hardlines / E&E / Life Science / Material lab as well as BA teams in North America area, by conducting regular meeting with Medical Devices task forces teams, collecting and sharing market intelligence / opportunity / leads / RFQ to Medical Devices respective labs / unit to seek for maximum growth / benefit from Medical Devices customers / market.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for business growth within the Medical Devices related industry across US and, through out entire ECO system from raw material to finished product manufacturer and their respective to Tier 1, 2 and 3 suppliers. Constantly update North America Medical Devices testing market size and trend to C & P management.
- Build and maintain a strong network of clients, suppliers, regulator and industry association stakeholders, to leverage opportunities and foster strategic partnerships including potential opportunity of Merge & Acquisition.
- Create compelling and customized proposals that meet client needs and showcase the best value of Medical Devices services. Also coordinating with SGS Group / other region best solution to serve customers while request services is not available in NAM.
- Provide regular reports and updates to C & P Management of development performance, market insights, and growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Education (Essential): Postgraduate-level intellectual abilities; academic and/or professional qualifications in any discipline are recognized if the candidate demonstrates the ability to apply learning skills to the role. Medical Devices Engineering or Biocompatibility major is preferred. Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and any additional European language is plus.
- Experience (Essential): At least 8 years of professional experience working in the Medical Devices manufacturers like Stryker, Abbott, Medtronic. At least 8 years professional experiences in Medical Devices related TIC company like NAMSA, Nelson Labs, Element, in both lab engineering role and +5 years sales / business development role. Over 5 years P&L and management experiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (Masters/MBA is a plus).
- Strong understanding of Medical Devices related industrial / customers trends, suppliers movement, materials development trends, and sustainability practices. Strong knowledge about Medical Devices regulation, particular FDA 510K / ASCA / Pre-Approval compliance.

- Proficiency in using CRM software like Salesforces and Microsoft Office Suite, PowerBI.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Ability to work under stress and resilience to deal with failure and rebound.
- Flexibility to travel for client meetings, industry events, and trade shows as required.

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $140,000 to $170,000 per year. This range represents the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.
