Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and facility upkeep across multiple Hard Truth hospitality properties. This role requires a well-rounded technician capable of working on HVAC systems, commercial refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, kitchen equipment, and general building maintenance.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Preventative Maintenance

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on facilities, equipment, and vehicles

  • Complete inspections and identify potential issues before failures occur

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

  • Aid with asset tracking and maintenance scheduling

  • HVAC Maintenance & Repair

  • Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment

  • Perform seasonal inspections and preventative maintenance

  • Replace components such as motors, belts, capacitors, contactors, and thermostats

  • Work with outside contractors when needed

  • Commercial Refrigeration

  • Diagnose and repair walk-in coolers, freezers, prep tables, reach-ins, ice machines, and beverage systems

  • Perform preventative maintenance on refrigeration equipment

  • Monitor system performance and recommend corrective actions

  • Plumbing Repair

  • Troubleshoot and repair sinks, faucets, toilets, drains, water heaters, and plumbing fixtures

  • Perform minor plumbing installations and upgrades

  • Electrical Troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoot basic electrical issues in commercial facilities

  • Replace lighting, switches, outlets, breakers, and electrical components

  • Fleet & Equipment Support

  • Assist with routine maintenance of company vehicles, trailers, and utility equipment

  • Conduct inspections and coordinate repairs when necessary

  • Event Support

  • Provide maintenance support during public events and festivals

  • Ensure facilities, utilities, and equipment are operational before and during events

  • Respond to urgent maintenance needs during large-scale guest events

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in hospitality, restaurant, commercial property, or related environments

  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems

  • Experience with commercial refrigeration systems

  • Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems

  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

  • Ability to safely operate power tools and maintenance equipment

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 75 pounds

  • Climb ladders and work at heights

  • Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday

  • Participate in an on-call rotation when required
