Job Summary
Barton & Gray Mariners Club (B&G) is hiring a Stew & Harbor Support for the Summer 2026 Season. This full-time, seasonal position involves working closely with the Stew & Harbor Support Manager, B&G Captains, Member Services, and Supply Chain.
Primary Responsibilities as a Stew & Harbor Support Dockside
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment on the dock for Members and their guests.
- Aid Captains with vessel preparation before outings, cleaning and restocking after outings, and assist with the turnover process between trips.
- Maintain and track all vessel inventory and provisions and ensure all dock boxes and storage units are stocked.
- Communicate with the Purchasing and Supply Chain Team regarding inventory needs.
- Cooking and serving food and beverages to Members and their guests.
- Coordinate laundry drop off and pick up Support Captains with catering deliveries, provisioning, and special occasions for Member outings.
- Greet Members and their guests as they arrive and depart from the marina and assist with their belongings.
- Offer initial beverage service before the boat departs.
- Partner with the Member Services team to identify Member engagement opportunities, special occasions, and assist with mishaps and complaints.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Must have reliable transportation for use during work day, eligible for mileage reimbursement.
- Evening, weekend and holiday availability required.
- Strong communication & organizational skills, energetic, and personable.
- Ability to work on a team and independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical thinker and problem solver.
- Ability to move into and out of small spaces that may require crouching, kneeling or crawling.
- Ability to lift and carry 25+ pounds.
Education and Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 21 years of age preferred.
- Hospitality and/or maritime experience is preferred.
