This position offers $20–28/hr depending on your experience as a professional handyman and your experience with home repair and maintenance projects such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and drywall.

Responsibilities

• Complete small to medium maintenance and repairs for home and commercial projects lasting from two hours to two days
• Communicate with customers to explain needed work, scope, and costs, managing expectations
• Deliver a great experience that fosters repeat customers by following the Mr. Handyman Way—a repeatable process designed to wow customers every time

How We’ll Measure Performance

• Customer Satisfaction (NPS): Encourage customers to complete a survey after each job; maintain a high response rate and high satisfaction score
• Revenue Target: Stay in the field and identify additional ways to serve the customer
• Effective Billing Rate: Invoice appropriately, source materials, and collect payment from the customer
• Recall Percentage: Guarantee all work for one year by doing the work correctly the first time

To Succeed in this Role

• Self-manage while working alone
• Provide excellent customer service, ask for reviews, and collect payments
• Use necessary tools and technology
• Document jobs while following the Mr. Handyman Way process
• Wear proper PPE and booties to protect customers’ homes

Job Requirements

• Live within the area
• 5+ years’ paid handyman experience
• Own your own tools
• Be insurable for driving our vehicle
• Complete a background and driving record check
• Able to lift 50 pounds independently
• Able to safely work at heights and overhead for extended periods
• Maintain a professional appearance and company-provided vehicle

Skills

As an experienced Handyman, you have strong proficiency in at least three (3) of the following:

• Carpentry work
• Bathroom improvements
• Kitchen improvements
• Painting, both inside and out
• Drywall work, minor and major repairs
• General plumbing and electrical, where allowed by law
• Floor installation and refurbishing
• Familiar with building codes
