About this role

This is a development policy volunteer service position within the "weltwärts" program and is state-recognized. The assignment lasts approximately 11 months starting in summer 2027.

Tasks

• Manual tasks such as repairs, making simple furniture, basic electrical work, woodworking, and simple construction measures
• Educational tasks at a boarding school and a secondary school
• After consultation: driving duties (assignments, clinic and hospital transport, school program)

Requirements

• Manual skills required; training in this field is an advantage
• Willingness to pitch in wherever help is needed
• English language skills
• Openness to also take on educational tasks
• International driver's license
• General eligibility criteria for volunteers (see "Requirements" section)

Team

Close collaboration with the Tanzanian team, German contacts, and other German volunteers on site.
