About the role
The ideal candidate will be responsible for precisely assembling and soldering electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) to meet quality standards for our high-tech products. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a steady hand to ensure every connection is strong and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Build through-hole (PTH) and surface mount (SMT) printed circuit board assemblies, placing components on boards per controlled parts lists, drawing documentation and quality workmanship guidelines.
- Manually assemble electronic components onto printed circuit boards according to manufacturing instructions and schematics.
- Precisely solder components, wires, and other parts to circuit boards, ensuring strong electrical and mechanical connections.
- Conduct quality inspections of soldered boards for defects, such as bad joints, bridging, or component placement errors.
- Perform minor rework and repairs on circuit boards as needed.
- Pull up documentation required to preform work on customer assemblies.
- Operate a variety of equipment as needed to fulfill customer requirements.
- Responsible for the proper handling of product and components.
- Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
- Maintain necessary records.
- Perform other assignments as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hand soldering electronic components onto circuit boards.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
- Knowledge of electrostatic discharge (ESD) precautions.
- Proficiency with soldering irons, and other hand soldering tools.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing instructions, schematics, and diagrams.
- Familiarity with electronic components (capacitors, resistors, transistors, etc.) and their proper handling.
- Experience with different types of solder and flux.
- Intermediate level computer skills.
- IPC Certifications (e.g., IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001) are a plus.

Pay
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule

Monday - Thursday (5am to 3:30pm)
