Hampton Inn Abilene - Housekeeping Assistant Supervisor
The role requires 2 days of Housekeeping Supervisor assistance and 3 days as a Housekeeper. We are looking to fill this position immediately.
About the Role
This position is responsible for overseeing housekeeping functions in assigned sections, inspecting guest rooms, assisting room attendants, providing necessary training, and assuming Housekeeping Supervisor duties in absence.
Responsibilities
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
- Maintain regular attendance and comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards.
- Inspect staff's work performance and ensure standards and productivity levels are met.
- Assist with supervision of all staff in Laundry and Housekeeping.
- Handle items for "Lost and Found" according to standards.
- Ensure the overall appearance, cleanliness, and orderliness of staff.
- Oversee the daily assignment of duties, monitor cleanliness, and report on progress of out-of-order rooms.
- Initiate work orders for repairs and maintenance and follow through on each order.
- Avoid unnecessary overtime and ensure staff are not overworked.
- Monitor V.I.P. guests and special requests.
- Perform any other duties as requested by management.
Requirements
- At least 1 to 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- College course work in related field helpful.
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
