About the role
As a Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and assist with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion, you may also support products from other companies in the stores you service.
Responsibilities
- Perform service work in Hallmark departments across grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers.
- Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory using a Hallmark-provided mobile device.
- Use technology for day-to-day tasks, supervisor communication, time reporting, feedback, and merchandising activity surveys.
- Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
- Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
- Provide holiday support with additional days and extended hours around key holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas), including possible holiday work.
- Participate in department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections, with advance notice typically provided two weeks prior; may require evenings or weekends.
- Support other team members in your territory as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Physically demanding role requiring energy and urgency.
- Work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms.
- Consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds; up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Frequent kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing; may require climbing stairs and step ladders.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
- Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
Pay
Starting hourly pay rate is $15.95–$17.95, depending on skills and experience.

Schedule
This is a part-time position with a variable schedule during the work week. Average weekly hours are between 8–14 hours. Availability is required the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, as well as to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
