About the Role
As an Installation Merchandiser Floater, you'll collaborate with local store teams and fellow team members on new store installations, resets/remodels, and seasonal installations. You will support and work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You may also work with products from other companies in stores serviced by Hallmark. The role involves removing product, dismantling and building/assembling fixtures, and placing products on display, ranging from small resets to entire departments. An on-site Installation Supervisor typically assigns tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores, including grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers.
- Engage in installation day activities, such as removing product and trash, dismantling and building fixtures, and displaying products. This may include evenings or weekend hours.
- Utilize a mobile device provided by Hallmark to communicate with supervisors, provide feedback, answer surveys, and monitor inventory.
- Maintain professional and courteous interactions with store employees, management, and customers.
- Support holiday operations, including additional days and extended hours during peak seasons like Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. You may be required to work on holidays and weekends.
- Collaborate with other merchandisers to support team members in their territories as needed.
Requirements
- Live within the geographical area of Northern Wisconsin, with Milwaukee and Berlin, WI roughly at the center, and be available to travel within this area.
- This is a physically demanding role requiring high energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms.
- Consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- Able to kneel, squat, walk, stand throughout the workday, and occasionally climb stairs and step ladders.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Able to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to operate a digital hand-held device to read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
- Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
Pay
Starting hourly pay rate: $13.00–$15.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
Schedule
- Part-time position with a variable schedule during the workweek.
- Average weekly hours: 0–20 hours per week.
- Availability required the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.
- Paid training provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training.
