Hallmark Installation Merchandiser Floater (part-time) Parma, OH 44129
As an Installation Merchandiser Floater, you'll collaborate with local store teams and fellow team members on new store installations, resets/remodels, and seasonal installations. You will support and work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. On occasion, you may collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and work with other products from companies Hallmark services in assigned stores.
About the role
You will be provided with a schedule in advance for the accounts you will service. The role includes removing product, dismantling and building/assembling fixtures, and placing products on display—ranging from small resets on 4ft displays to entire departments. Typically, an on-site Installation Supervisor will assign tasks to each team member.
Responsibilities
- Perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores (grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers).
- Engage in installation activities, including:
- Removing product and trash
- Dismantling and building fixtures
- Displaying products (may include evenings or weekends)
- Utilize a Hallmark-provided mobile device to:
- Communicate with supervisors
- Provide feedback and complete surveys
- Monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the department
- Report time and required merchandising activities
- Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
- Support holiday operations, including additional days and extended hours during peak seasons (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas). May require working on holidays or weekends.
- Collaborate with Hallmark’s field organization network to support other team members in their territories as needed.
Requirements
- Geographical coverage: Parma, OH 44129 area. Must live within this region and be available to travel to assigned stores.
- Physically demanding role requiring:
- Consistent pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying of cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds (up to 50 pounds occasionally)
- Kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing throughout the workday
- Climbing stairs and step ladders as required
- Basic qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores
- Ability to operate a digital hand-held device to read documents and interpret information
Pay
Starting hourly pay rate: $13.00–$15.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
Schedule
- Part-time, variable schedule during the workweek (average 2–20 hours per week).
- Paid training provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.
- Required availability:
- The week before and after major holidays (may include weekends)
- Seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support
