Hallmark Installation Merchandiser Floater (part-time) Kalamazoo, MI 49009
As an Installation Merchandiser Floater, you'll collaborate with local store teams and fellow team members on new store installations, resets/remodels, and seasonal installations. You will support and work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You may also collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and occasionally work with other products in stores serviced by Hallmark.
About the role
This role involves removing product, dismantling and building/assembling fixtures, and placing products on display, ranging from small resets on 4ft displays to entire departments. An on-site Installation Supervisor typically assigns tasks. You will be provided with a schedule in advance for the accounts you will service.
Responsibilities
- Perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores (grocery, drug, department, mass retailers).
- Engage in installation day activities, including:
- Removing product and trash
- Dismantling and building fixtures
- Displaying products (may include evenings or weekend hours)
- Utilize a Hallmark-provided mobile device to:
- Communicate with your supervisor
- Provide feedback and answer surveys
- Monitor Hallmark product inventory
- Report time and required merchandising activities
- Maintain professional and courteous interactions with store employees, management, and customers.
- Support Hallmark’s seasonal demand, including additional days and extended hours during major holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas). May require working on holidays and weekends.
- Collaborate with and support other merchandisers in the field organization as needed.
Requirements
- Must live within the assigned area and be available to travel to work within that area.
- Physically demanding role requiring high energy and a sense of urgency; involves working on the selling floor and in back stockrooms.
- Ability to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry:
- Up to 30 pounds throughout the workday
- Up to 50 pounds on occasion
- Must be able to kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use step ladders throughout the workday.
Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Able to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to operate a digital hand-held device to read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
- Access to consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
Pay
Starting hourly pay rate: $14.00 to $16.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
Schedule
- Part-Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours: 1–20 hours per week.
- Paid training provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training.
- Required availability:
- The week before and after major holidays (may include weekends)
- Season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support
