Hall B Postdoctoral Research Fellow
About the role
The successful candidate will work closely with staff scientists to prepare and carry out experiments using the CLAS12 detector, contribute to detector upgrade projects, and perform physics analyses. Hall B offers extensive opportunities for physics data analysis with CLAS12 and for developing new experimental proposals. Current research topics include studies of generalized parton distributions (GPDs), transverse-momentum dependent parton distributions (TMDs), and hadron spectroscopy. A strong emphasis is placed on applying modern artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to data reconstruction, event selection, and physics analysis. The fellow is expected to play a leading role in the Hall B luminosity upgrade program.
