Hair Stylist Assistant/Apprentice

About the role

We are seeking an assistant to support an established Hair Stylist/Colorist in providing outstanding service to an extensive client base. This is a great opportunity to learn advanced techniques in hair coloring using brand-name products, with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mixing color, shampooing, blow drying, styling, and other salon services
• Explain processes, products, treatments, and services to clients
• Maintain order and cleanliness throughout the day
• Expand knowledge of hair coloring and styling
• Handle payment transactions

Requirements

• Valid California Cosmetology License
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a continuous, fast-paced environment
• Strong ability to follow directions while also working independently and proactively
• Excellent work ethic, punctuality, and reliability
• Positive and fun attitude
• Updated knowledge of salon and beauty products
• Experience in a salon environment (preferred but not required)
• Commitment to uphold the salon’s brand concept

Schedule

• 3-4 days per week
• Some days may be 8-12 hours long
