Pay Range: $70-73.68 per hour
About the role
Manage and support Hadoop platforms, including building, maintaining, and troubleshooting end-to-end support for data platforms. Perform patching, automation, and support activities for vendor-based Hadoop clusters. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform stability, performance, and scalability. Monitor system metrics, conduct capacity planning, and implement disaster recovery procedures. Serve as a technical liaison between clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver effective solutions.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support Hadoop platforms, including building, maintaining, and troubleshooting end-to-end data platforms
- Perform patching, automation, and support activities for vendor-based Hadoop clusters
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure platform stability, performance, and scalability
- Monitor system metrics and conduct capacity planning
- Implement disaster recovery procedures
- Serve as a technical liaison between clients, vendors, and internal teams
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in managing Hadoop platforms, including Cloudera administration and support
- Hands-on experience with cluster management, patching, troubleshooting, and automation tools
- Proficiency in Hadoop components such as HDFS, YARN, Spark, Impala, and related technologies
- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, scripting languages, and database management
- Experience working with Data Science and AI/ML products like Cloudera, DataRobot, and others
