Hadoop Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an expert Hadoop administrator with 5+ years of relevant experience. The candidate is responsible for managing, securing, and maintaining large-scale Big Data clusters. Their primary duties include cluster provisioning, capacity planning, performance tuning, and ensuring 24/7 high availability of HDFS and YARN components.

Responsibilities

• Manage, secure, and maintain large-scale Big Data clusters
• Provision and configure Hadoop clusters
• Perform capacity planning and ensure optimal resource utilization
• Implement and tune performance parameters for HDFS and YARN
• Ensure 24/7 high availability of HDFS and YARN components

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge in Hadoop administration
• Experience with cluster provisioning and configuration
• Strong understanding of HDFS and YARN components
• Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization
• Experience with Kafka administration is a plus
• SQL skills for data analysis and management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• At least 5+ years of experience in Hadoop administration
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools
• Experience with cloud-based Hadoop environments
