About the role

The Habilitation Training Specialist (HTS) is responsible for providing training and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to enhance their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized training programs based on client needs
• Provide direct support to clients in various settings including home, community, and work environments
• Assess client progress and make necessary adjustments to training plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support
• Document all interactions and progress in client files

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related field
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities and effective strategies for supporting individuals with these conditions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others
