About the Role
The Salon & Spa Receptionist warmly welcomes and greets clients, ensuring they feel comfortable and happy during their visit. This role involves managing front-desk operations, providing information about services and products, and maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
Responsibilities
- Answer telephone calls and provide accurate information to clients.
- Explain and demonstrate hospitality behaviors and performance standards.
- Provide guests with directions or other venue information.
- Act promptly and professionally on all comments and complaints.
- Educate clients on new beauty products, their uses, and benefits.
- Keep clients updated on current promotions and discounts.
- Process payments for spa and salon services.
- Maintain a register of long-term and existing clients for loyalty benefits.
- Schedule client appointments and manage cancellations or walk-ins.
- Open and close the spa at designated times, ensuring the front desk is clean and organized.
- Assist in gathering client feedback to improve service delivery.
- Promote the organization’s image through professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ensure clients are attended to on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Manage the visitor register to track daily spa visitors.
- Direct customer complaints and feedback to the appropriate offices for resolution.
- Support promotional events to increase clientele.
- Perform other essential duties as requested by the Spa Manager.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- Proven record of dependability and performance.
- Excellent phone etiquette and strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office.
- Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
- Good knowledge of beauty products to effectively promote them to clients.
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions.
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including marketing events and concerts.
- Must obtain a New Mexico Alcohol license.
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 20 pounds without assistance; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for several hours and use handheld communication devices.

Physical Demands
The role requires frequent standing, walking, use of hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must be able to talk, hear, and use handheld communication devices. Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for several hours.
