Reports to: Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor
About the Role
Assist the server to which you are assigned for the duration of the shift. Prepare tea, coffee, and ice; stock glassware, dinnerware, and plates; pre-bus assigned stations. Assist all customers in the dining room and break down bussed items in the dishwashing area.
Responsibilities
- Explain and demonstrate Hospitality Behaviors and Performance Standards.
- Understand where to get information needed to complete tasks to standard.
- Explain and demonstrate technical skills and behavioral values used to complete tasks.
- Take ownership of problems and solve them, requesting help when needed.
- Provide guests with directions or other venue information.
- Act on all comments/complaints promptly, professionally, and in a friendly manner.
- Inspect assigned area/pantry for organization and cleanliness.
- Inspect tables/chairs of assigned section and report any damage to Manager or Supervisor.
- Clear and reset tables, clean ashtrays in smoking sections.
- Remove or add place settings as needed.
- Remove and separate dishware, glassware, and silverware for washing.
- Put away washed dishware, glassware, and silverware when assigned to pantry.
- Polish all glassware and silverware as needed.
- Prepare takeout items for guests.
- Maintain a clean and organized bussing/pantry area, ensuring it is fully stocked.
- Complete assigned opening and closing side work.
- Keep floors clean in dining room, pantry, and in front of buffet line areas.
- Keep beverages freshly prepared and ready for servers.
- Greet and seat guests if necessary.
- Pour non-alcoholic beverages for customers.
- Fold napkins and roll silverware as necessary.
- Assist other departments when necessary.
- Adhere to all regulatory, departmental, and casino policies and procedures.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), or six months to one year of job-related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
- Mescalero Apache Tribal preference; bicultural experience preferred.

Physical Demands
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, or hear.
- Must be able to use handheld communication devices.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stand for several hours.
Work Environment
- Noise level in the work environment is loud.
