About the role
The Bartender is responsible for maintaining, receiving and storing of Spirits, Wine, Beer and other supplies for the Bar. This position reports to the Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Explain and demonstrate Hospitality Behaviors and Performance Standards.
- Understand where to get the information needed to complete tasks to standard.
- Explain or demonstrate the behavioral values or standards needed to complete tasks to standard.
- Take ownership of problems and solve them when solutions may not be available.
- Request help from others when needed to complete task or goal.
- Provide guests with directions or other venue information.
- Act upon all comments/complaints in a prompt, professional and friendly manner.
- Respond to obstacles; find new ways to reach desired end results.
- Respond to change by quickly applying talent and skills in a positive way to succeed.
- Supports achievement of Quality Goal; "Do it right the first time."
- Protects and preserves property of IMGR&C. All areas, equipment and furnishings are kept exceptionally neat, clean and in good repair.
- Makes suggestions to improve performance.
- Approaches all activities with enthusiasm and encourages enthusiasm from others.
- Chooses a positive approach in all situations.
- Treats others with respect in all situations.
- Serves others. Identifies and communicates needs of guests and others. Takes quick action to serve others in a way that meets/exceeds their needs. - Meets IMGR&C Appearance standards. Supports IMGR&C reputation and image in all situations, on and off property. Attends to IMGR&C policy for attendance. Informs supervisor of future absence as far in advance as possible.
- Works in collaboration with other Team Members to achieve event goals, exemplifies teamwork.
Requirements
- Meet IMGR&C Values that are reflected in the letters A-P-A-C-H-E, Accountability, Productivity, Acceptance, Communication, Hospitality, and Enthusiasm.
- High School diploma or GED or six months to one-year job-related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, using hands, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing for several hours.
Qualifications
- Complete knowledge of IMGR&C products and services.

Skills
- Knowledge of cocktail and drink terminology and preparations.
- Performs all shift opening and closing checklist duties.
- Wipes all bottles clean on a daily basis.
- Adheres to quality and sanitation standards.
- Complies with all IMGR&C and Policies, procedures and daily checklist.
- Responsible for all basic bar financial control policies including revenue controls such as POS data entry and closing, beverage pouring and dispensing policies, cash and credit card handling procedures and the security of all IMGR&C inventories and assets.
- Obtains and maintains Alcohol Servers License.
