Bartender Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for bar patrons and restaurant guests
• Interact with customers
• Take food & drink orders
• Serve guests with a warm, friendly smile
• Guest retention
• Cleaning, sanitizing, side work
• Teamwork of all varieties
• Reporting thoroughly to management
• Being responsible for cash and credit payments

Bartender Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Bartender in a high-volume setting, preferred
• Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and holidays
• Valid alcohol certification
• Following recipes, including measuring and mixing ingredients
• Preparing ingredients for service, including cutting, peeling, stuffing, etc.
• Labeling & stocking all bar ingredients & garnishes so they are organized & easily accessible
• Operating equipment and bladed tools following safety standards
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (verbal and written)
• Elevated knowledge of wine, spirits and beer
• Experience serving food
• Ability to describe & make menu recommendations
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• Basic bookkeeping knowledge
• Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems
• High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods
• Maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
• Executing opening and closing procedures
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
