About the role

The Coast Guard Exchange is seeking a Bartender-03 to operate the MWR Kapolei Barbers Point bar. The position involves preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, managing cash transactions, and ensuring a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
• Recognize and resolve issues with unruly or intoxicated patrons
• Follow proper cash handling procedures
• Perform tasks such as setting up the bar, maintaining inventory, and cleaning equipment
• Complete required training in serving alcohol beverages
• Report workplace hazards and injuries promptly

Requirements

• Experience mixing alcoholic beverages for retail sale
• Experience recognizing and addressing intoxicated or unruly patrons
• Experience with proper cash handling procedures
• Ability to stoop, stand, and walk for long periods
• Must meet the appropriate minimum age requirement for working with and/or serving alcoholic beverages

Qualifications

• Minimum: 1 year experience as a bartender
• Preferred: One year experience as a bartender

Skills

• Knowledge of sanitation procedures
• Ability to follow safety regulations and standards
• Ability to report workplace hazards and injuries
