About the Role

Responsible for operations at the top and bottom of the Zip Rider.

Responsibilities

  • Explain and demonstrate Hospitality Behaviors and Performance Standards.
  • Understand where to get information needed to complete tasks to standard.
  • Explain and demonstrate technical skills used to complete tasks to standard.
  • Explain or demonstrate the behavioral values or standards needed to complete tasks.
  • Take ownership of problems and solve them when solutions may not be available.
  • Request help from others when needed to complete tasks or goals.
  • Provide complete knowledge of IMGR&C products and services to guests and colleagues.
  • Provide guests with directions or other venue information.
  • Act upon all comments/complaints in a prompt, professional, and friendly manner.
  • Greet customers and mount/dismount trolleys to the track cable, securing trolley to the launch block.
  • Confirm via radio communication from top/bottom tower that track cables and landing platforms are clear of riders/equipment.
  • Fully understand all rescue procedures and contribute to rescue efforts when needed.
  • Report any and all incidents to managers as soon as possible.
  • Maintain constant communication with top and bottom attendants.
  • Monitor brake pad wear on each trolley prior to mounting and dismounting to ensure wear is within acceptable range.
  • Monitor the appearance of harnesses and trolleys to ensure they meet daily inspection requirements; red tag and set aside anything out of accordance.
  • Assist managers with daily tour inspections.
  • Be knowledgeable in all operations and inspections associated with top and bottom stations.
  • Serve guests by identifying and communicating their needs, taking quick action to meet or exceed them.
  • Provide service outside job responsibilities if needed to help the resort succeed.
  • Take ownership of guest problems until they are resolved.
  • Support team success by putting team goals ahead of personal success and helping others without being asked.
  • Resolve conflicts between individuals and contribute ideas to increase team success and guest satisfaction.
  • Report ideas to improve performance, team success, and guest satisfaction to supervisors or managers.
  • Do whatever is necessary to help department and resort success.
  • Meet IMGR&C appearance standards and professionally support the resort’s reputation on and off property.
  • Meet IMGR&C attendance policy and inform supervisors of future absences as far in advance as possible.
  • Required to work all Marketing Special Events and Concerts.
  • Provide information others need to succeed in a timely manner.
  • Share information with the next shift to ensure their success.
  • Listen to others without interruption and act on feedback when possible.
  • Ask questions to better understand expectations.
  • Report all guest complaints, compliments, and situations where resort grounds or equipment do not meet standards to supervisors or managers.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must not be afraid of heights.
  • Must complete a minimum of 8 hours of training plus an observation period.
  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).
  • Good oral and written communication skills, as well as quality people skills.
  • Able to work all shifts.
  • Proven record of dependability and performance.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal background investigation.
  • Mescalero Apache Tribal preference; bicultural experience preferred.
  • Meets IMGR&C Values reflected in the letters A-P-A-C-H-E: Accountability, Productivity, Acceptance, Communication, Hospitality, and Enthusiasm.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, or hear.
  • Must be able to use handheld communication devices.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to stand for several hours.
