This OB/GYN practice is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive, specialized care to women across the lifespan, focusing on reproductive health, gynecological issues, family planning, and wellness promotion.
• Conducts age-appropriate assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination consistent with department protocol.
• Performs routine physical examinations within scope of practice, including pelvic examinations, breast examinations, PAP tests, and any relevant infection screenings.
• Performs IUD and Nexplanon insertions/removals, Endometrial Biopsies, works with Pessaries - education & maintenance; may perform Colposcopies.
• Provides education on women’s issues, preventative care, contraceptive methods, and lifestyle modifications.
• Orders diagnostic tests and prescribes medications within scope of practice.
• Manages symptoms like hot flashes, mood swings, and sleep issues during the menopausal transition, offering evidence-based care.
• Confers with patients in person and by phone/electronically, collaborating with others in the department to ensure a smooth flow of patient care consistent with established quality indicators.
• Reviews medical record for follow up or ordering of diagnostic studies under established protocols.
• Establishes effective working relationships with members of the health care team, patients, and families.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and applies safety principles as identified by the practice.
• Performs efficiently in emergency situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate people, and documenting events.
• Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues, including patient confidentiality and risk management in all aspects of patient care and unit functioning.
• Demonstrates a service philosophy in all interactions with patients, families, and all members of the health care team.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the use of computers and telecommunication modalities to document, track and convey information.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of healthcare principles, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathophysiology.
• Ability to analyze complex situations, make sound clinical judgments, and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
• Effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ability to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and procedures clearly and empathetically.
• Strong computer proficiency and understanding and knowledge of EHR and healthcare technologies.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Willingness to pursue continuing education and stay updated on advances in Women’s Health.
• Must be able to work at each practice location as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MS, MSN, or DNP); with focus on Women’s Health highly preferred.
• Board certification in WHNP, FNP, ANP, or similar.
• Current unrestricted Pennsylvania CRNP license, Prescriptive Authority, and DEA, or ability to obtain licensure or ability to obtain in a timely manner.
• Minimum 1 year Advanced Practice Nursing in Women’s Health experience or Women's Health RN background.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks a plus.
• Ability to work at all practice locations as scheduled.

$90,000 USD to $120,000
