Gynecology Physician

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Gynecologist to join their team at Harrington Hospital in Southbridge, MA. The ideal candidate will embody the hospital’s mission and values, offering comprehensive gynecologic care and collaborating with consultants.

Responsibilities

• Provides services commensurate with the specialty of the physician including new patient visits, follow-up visits, urgent visits, and annual visits.
• Counsels and teaches patients and family members on the management and prevention of disease.
• Completes comprehensive care including history and physical examinations, reviews medical records, orders appropriate diagnostic tests, and formulates diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Collaborates and communicates with consultants.
• Serves as a resource for the training and orientation of new colleagues.
• Maintains and manages in-basket tasks to ensure safe, effective, and timely care for patients and effective communication with staff and provider colleagues.
• Promptly completes all outstanding medical records as required by the needs of the department and UMass Memorial.
• Provides on-call services, ER call services, and inpatient call services if required by hospital privileges.
• Maintains all required credentials, including state licensure and board certifications.
• Demonstrates a commitment to quality improvement and complies with institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintains regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.

Qualifications

• Doctoral Degree, MD or DO.
• Current Massachusetts State License, Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration, and federal DEA Controlled Substance Registration.
• Board eligible or board certified in the appropriate specialty or specialties.
