Pay range: $15–$16 per hour.
About the role
The Goochland Family YMCA is seeking part-time, energetic, and experienced individuals to facilitate gymnastics classes for children in our program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a successful, engaging, and fun gymnastics program for participants.
- Instruct classes during weekdays and weekends.
- Demonstrate appropriate spotting techniques and other gymnastics skills.
- Move equipment (with assistance) up to approximately 100 pounds.
- Spot (catch or lift) children weighing up to approximately 100 pounds.
- Respond to critical incidents and act swiftly in emergency situations.
Requirements
- Enjoy working with children.
- Experience with basic gymnastics knowledge.
- Visual and auditory ability to monitor and respond to participants.
- Physical ability to perform duties, including lifting and spotting.
Qualifications
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications are desired.
