Duties
- Help develop and implement a safe and enjoyable gymnastics program.
- Work with youth ages 5-11 to create lesson plans.
- Purchase necessary materials for gymnastics practices, games, and clinics.
- Provide leadership to other gymnastics staff.
Qualifications
- Basic gymnastics knowledge and experience.
- Ability to instruct and spot school age children in basic gymnastics skills.
- Able to observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations, and apply appropriate policies and procedures.
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents.
- Physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.
- First Aid/CPR/AED certifications desired upon hire.
- Experience working with children and gymnastics/movement basics.
- Willingness to learn and demonstrate appropriate spotting and teaching techniques.
Pay and Schedule
The pay range for this position is $15-$17 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Gymnastics instructors should be available on weekday evenings and Saturday mornings.
