GVN LVN in Training

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess, document, and report resident conditions and changes during rounds.
• Ensure resident care plans are correctly followed and implemented.
• Give prescribed medications and perform narcotic counts (reconciliation) between shifts.
• Complete required nursing assessments before calling a doctor regarding any change in a resident's health.
• Monitor and oversee certified nursing aides.
• Complete accident, incident, and discharge reports according to facility policy.
• Update residents' designated points of contact on status changes.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited vocational nursing program.
• Active status as a Graduate Vocational Nurse pursuing official Texas licensure.
