Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a medical office setting and at least 1 year of practice supervision and personnel management in a similar medical clinic environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record management systems.
  • Experience in medical billing, benefit verification, and authorization.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Clerical skills of typing, filing, phone reception, and scheduling.
  • Management skills of organization, interpersonal communication skills, mediation and negotiation, and independent decision-making.
  • Active knowledge of and participation in community.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements front office team goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
  • Directs and evaluates front desk team operations, including information technologies, complaint management, and answering billing questions, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, this includes hiring, orienting, evaluating, and helping with the team's professional growth and development.
  • Covers and coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
  • Leads and manages the activities of the front desk operations at GVH to include planning, supervising, organizing, controlling and evaluating front office staff.
  • Schedules and oversees front office staff.
  • Updates office procedures: keeps office procedures fresh and efficient, seeks staff input regarding decisions that impact their work, and works with rehab director to implement improvements as necessary.
  • Takes accountability for internal and external customer service and service excellence, including troubleshooting when there is a complaint and proactively seeking process improvement.

Pay & Schedule

Compensation: $23.06 - $34.58/hr, depending on experience. Occasionally (1-33%) Standing, change position, reaching, reach across midline, handling, pinching, crouching/squatting, stooping, stairs, lifting (0-20 lbs), carrying (0-20 lbs). Frequently (34-66%) Walking, sitting. Continuously (37-100%) Must be able to see with corrective eyewear, must be able to hear clearly with assistance.
