About the role
This is a full-time on-site position at West Star Aviation, a rapidly expanding MRO provider with facilities across multiple states. As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, you'll be part of a dynamic team responsible for maintaining some of the most advanced civilian aircraft.
Responsibilities
- Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
- Remove and install panels and components.
- Troubleshoot and solve aircraft system/component issues.
- De-fuel aircraft, operate ground support equipment, and perform inspections.
- Maintain and repair shop facility, equipment, and tooling.
- Tag aircraft components, parts, and panels appropriately and store them.
- Provide detailed reports of work progression and open items to the Lead Mechanic.
- Notify the Lead Mechanic of any problem areas immediately.
- Operate jacks, stands, lifts, and other support devices.
- Use personal hand tools, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.
- Work on elevated platforms using fall protection safety gear.
- Stand for long periods and perform repetitive physical motions.
- Communicate effectively (speak, write, read) in English.
- Perform job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements
- A High school diploma or equivalent.
- Airframe and Powerplant License required.
- A valid driver's license for airline travel and/or a valid passport preferred.
- Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation to work daily.
- Ability to follow Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
- Physical requirements: Lift up to 70 lbs, walk, bend, squat, sit, and stand for long periods.
- Mental requirements: Understand and implement regulations, troubleshoot system operations, and work professionally with others.

Pay
Compensation is competitive and includes a shift differential for alternate shifts. Weekly paydays are standard.
