Guidewire QA with Rating Testing Exp
Job Summary
Perform functional and regression testing of Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating Engine configurations. Validate rate tables, modifiers, tiering, underwriting factors, and pricing algorithms for P&C insurance products. Test rating scenarios for new business, renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and policy rewrites. Ensure premium calculations comply with regulatory and carrier-specific rating rules. Manage test data, bulk testing, and issue triage using Guidewire testing tools (e.g., GT: API).
Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and manage test cases and defects within Agile/Scrum delivery models.
- Utilize expertise in Canadian P&C insurance market, including commercial and personal lines.
- Apply knowledge of ISO/NCCI/bureau-based rating concepts and actuarial pricing inputs.
- (Optional/Nice to Have) Support Guidewire Cloud (GWCP) implementations and use test automation tools (UFT, Selenium, etc.).
- (Optional/Nice to Have) Perform basic SQL-based validation of rating data and support multi-state/multi-LOB rating programs.
- (Optional/Nice to Have) Hold Guidewire Analyst Suite Certification.
Requirements
Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in functional and regression testing of insurance systems, with a focus on P&C insurance products. Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and testing tools such as GT: API. Knowledge of ISO/NCCI/bureau-based rating concepts and actuarial pricing inputs. Familiarity with Canadian P&C insurance market, including commercial and personal lines. Proficiency in SQL and experience with multi-state/multi-LOB rating programs is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.
