About the Role
Notre Dame High School, a ministry of the Catholic Diocese of Trenton, is a dynamic, diverse Catholic community dedicated to educating young women and men to realize their full potential through a faith-filled environment, a challenging college-preparatory program, extensive co-curricular activities, and a commitment to citizenship and service in the community.
The Guidance Counselor will provide academic and personal counseling for students in grades 9 through 12 as a member of the Guidance Team, supervised by the Director of College & School Counseling.
Responsibilities
- Provide academic and personal counseling to students in grades 9–12
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members
- Manage multiple priorities effectively
- Utilize Naviance for counseling and college-preparatory support
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Counseling
- NJ School Counselor’s Certification preferred
- Experience with academic and personal counseling
- Knowledge of school law
- Excellent communication skills
Qualifications
- Must successfully pass a background and fingerprint report as required by state law for school personnel
- Must be willing to undergo Catholic Diocese VIRTUS certification
