Job Summary

Guest Services Representatives are an integral part of the Recreation Division with the City of Greeley and are responsible for providing quality customer service to patrons of the Greeley Recreation facilities. This position assists with daily facility operations. These positions must also process class and activity registrations, sell facility memberships, schedule facility rentals and work concessions.

About the Role

This position requires occasional local travel within the County. Employees may be expected to walk or drive short distances to attend meetings, trainings, or perform work at other city buildings or partner sites.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains superior levels of customer service for golf course patrons.
  • Delivers prompt and professional solutions to external and internal customer inquiries via in-person, phone, and email interactions regarding facility services, programs, and activities, as well as those offered by the Culture, Parks, and Recreation Department.
  • Promotes merchandise and driving range sales while on duty.
  • Maintains professional grooming and uniform standards.
  • Ensures the pro shop is fully stocked at appropriate levels.
  • Affords assistance to outside services staff as needed.
  • Stages and cleans motorized golf carts.
  • Operates a golf cart to collect balls from the driving range.
  • Participates in regular team meetings to ensure consistency across recreation facilities.
  • Learns and uses GolfTrac software for pro shop operations, including membership and inventory sales, tee time bookings, and point-of-sale transactions.
  • Assists in keeping marketing materials, the website, and social media sites updated with accurate information.
  • Follows and assists in enforcing risk management and emergency response procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire required.
  • Valid Driver License for 2 years and a clean driving record OR Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job, AND Possession of a valid driver’s license.

  • Extensive knowledge of all products offered in the pro shop.
  • Knowledge of the business operations and organizational structure of Colorado municipalities.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to promote effective interaction, communication, and teamwork.
  • Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills, with the ability to clearly interpret and convey information and ideas.
  • Effective organizational skills, including goal setting, time management, meeting coordination, and decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure, adapt to change, and maintain effectiveness in dynamic environments.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, a positive, solution-oriented mindset, and enthusiasm for the work.
  • Ability to work independently using sound judgment, as well as collaboratively within a team to achieve shared goals.
  • Skilled at navigating complex political environments with professionalism and discretion.

Skills

  • Experience and knowledge of computer operations and use of software packages including Microsoft Office applications desired.
  • Spanish/English bilingual skills desired.
  • At least one year of golf course experience.

Pay

Full Salary Ranges: $15.16- $21.75 Anticipated Hiring Ranges: $15.16- $18.46

Schedule

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Frequent and heavy contact with the public and City employees in person and by telephone. Frequent interruptions. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekdays, nights, weekends, evenings, and holidays. Work is performed in an open office environment with heavy noise levels, at times.

Physical Requirements: Vision to perform physical activities, read computer keyboards, reference books, and other written documents. Strength and stamina enough to walk, stand, stretch, bend, lift or carry up to 45 lbs. Manual dexterity enough to complete daily work such as operate computer keyboards, drive and operate motor vehicles, and operate other office equipment, and complete paperwork.
