About the Role
The Guest Services Agent welcomes and registers hotel guests, explaining the accommodations and establishing credit or method of payment. Checks guests out of the hotel, preparing and explaining the bill. Responds to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing the guest needs and requests, then adding personal recommendations and touches to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies.
Responsibilities
- Checks in guests in an efficient and friendly manner, using the guest’s name whenever possible.
- Ensures guests are assigned the type of room requested and the correct rate is charged.
- Arranges for luggage to be delivered to guest rooms and issues correct keys.
- Checks out guests at the end of their stay, ascertains guest satisfaction, collects keys, posts late charges, and presents the bill.
- Settles bills accurately through credit card or cash transactions and maintains a balanced bank assigned by the hotel.
- Makes change, cashes checks, and exchanges foreign currency, reconciling all transactions at the close of each shift.
- Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves customer complaints.
- Assists guests with inquiries regarding hotel services, hours of operation, key personnel, in-house events, and directions.
- Responds to guest requests in an accurate and timely manner, both in person and by phone.
- Utilizes computer systems to check guests in and out, run daily reports, and select or block rooms for arriving guests.
- Accepts reservations, changes, and cancellations in the absence of CORE Department Staff.
- Answers guest calls and directs them appropriately in the absence of a Hotel Communications Agent.
- Quotes and is familiar with room and rate availability for current and future dates.
- Selects and blocks rooms for arriving guests; pre-registers individuals or groups as required; assists in escorting VIPs and return guests to their rooms.
- Works closely with the Concierge staff to coordinate the efficient handling of guest luggage and follow up on guest inquiries.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Front Desk Operations with strong communication skills.
- Physical mobility, including lifting, walking, bending, and moving objects up to 50 lbs.
- Fluency in speaking, writing, and reading English.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts (mornings, evenings, overnights), weekends, and holidays.

Pay
Hourly rate of pay: $30–$38.
Schedule
This position requires a flexible schedule, including the ability to work mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
Work authorization for the location is required.
